We said an adjective is a describing word that describes a noun in many ways. An adjective can tell us the quality of a noun; such as in healthy baby the word healthy is telling us the quality of the noun that is baby. An adjective can tell us the number of a noun, such as in five girls, the adjective five  is telling us the number of the noun girl, an adjective can tell us the quantity of a noun such as in the phrase no sense , the adjective no is telling us the quantity of the noun sense; and many more. Just know that an adjective is a word that describes a noun somehow.

Delhi is a big city.
Neha is a beautiful girl.

·       Some adjectives show definite numbers such as five, four and twenty from the above examples. Since five or four is cardinal number, They are called , “Definite Cardinal Numeral adjectives.”
·       Some adjectives show number but they are not definite, such as many and most from the above examples. They are called, “Indefinite Numeral adjectives.”
·       Some adjectives show the number of a person or thing in an order, such as first and next from the above examples. Since first or next are ordinal in nature, They are called “Ordinal Definite Numeral Adjectives.”

5.    Interrogative adjective: An interrogative adjective is is a question word like ‘what’, ‘which’ etc, functioning as an adjective. These adjectives always form a question.
What sort of help you ask for?
Which method did you adopt to solve this problem?
The underlined words above are examples of Interrogative adjectives.

·       Please Note that same adjective may classed as of quantity or numbers depending whether the noun that is countable or uncountable.
For instance, If we say, “Some mangoes” , Here Some is adjective of quantity because mango is a countable noun. Now if we say some milk, here some is an adjective of quantity because milk is an uncountable noun.
